What does RPM mean?

RPM stands for revolutions per minute. A revolution is a full turn of one pedal. Revolutions per minute is the number of turns a pedal takes in one minute. For example, 60 RPMs means your pedal took 60 turns in one minute. This is used to measure your cadence, or pedal speed. The higher the RPM, the faster you are pedaling. The lower the RPM, the slower you are pedaling.
